Wagga Wagga Suburbs Rank in Top 10 Nationally

September figures released from Realestate.com.au (REA) reveal several of Wagga Wagga’s suburbs, ranking in the top 10 nationally for the biggest increase in searches compared to a year ago. Glenfield Park ranking #1 with 499% increase in buyer searches, Mount Austin #2 with 484%, Kooringal #5 and Estella #6 and Ashmont #7.

Fitzpatricks Director Brendan Madigan commented:

“We’re experiencing a surge in investors, mostly out-of-town, many of which are making offers with site unseen. Just this week I had a property in Mount Austin in the range of $500,000 to $550,000 receive over 40 offers in 24 hours.”

The soon to be released Fitzpatricks Report for the 2024-2025 financial year recorded these suburbs median house prices at:

- Glenfield Park $590,000
- Mount Austin $447,000
- Ashmont $440,000
- Kooringal $577,500
- Estella $632,500

In comparison to REA’s September median figures, all suburbs have slight increases in just a few months.

Other factors contributing to the recent surge in buyer demand are interest rates and the Australian Government’s expansion of the Home Guarantee Scheme from October 1st 2025.
